When I first called the funeral home, the woman I was speaking to was really nice and very helpful; she answered my questions and after calling other services I called California Cremation & Burial back and the same woman Tori was a tremendous help and made things easy for me and the price was right. I will be recommending them to anyone in the same situation.

I want to give a special thank you to Claudette, Jeanette, and Royel for their professionalism, kindness, and comfort during the funeral arrangements for my son. They answered all my questions step by step. They gave options on the different packages for services and everything is affordable for a single mom grieving the loss of a child. Great place to use when you are in need of mortuary they are kind, caring, friendly, make you feel like family. They are there to help every step of the way. They really made it as less stressful as possible.

I was on travel when my son passed away.
I was unable to arrive at the hospital before my son's body was transported to a morgue contracted by the hospital. I was able to get to the hospital within an hour of my Son passing.

I called the morgue where my son was being held to view my son, I was told that I would have to make an appointment,

I was also told that I had to pay $300.00, to be able to view my son's body for 15 minutes.

I was also told that I would have to pay $1200.00 to have my son's body transported to a funeral home.

I was referred to California Cremation & Burial Chapel by a co-worker.

From the time that I arrived at California Cremation, MS Claudette made me feel at ease.
When I explained to her what had been told to me by the Morgue where my son was being held, MS Claudette made phone calls and took care of everything
including transportation of his body to the chapel.
MS Claudette showed me a lot of compassion during a very stressful time in my life.

My Mom passed away May 2, 2024 and it was the most heart aching and challenging experience our family ever had to go through and is still going through. Claudette truly listened to our requests and details of my mother's last celebration of her life and the entire staff was so kind and helpful and a true God sent piece in my mom's viewing and funeral ceremony. I am eternally grateful for the services from this quaint little
chapel in National City. This past March I lost my father very
unexpectedly and suddenly found myself overwhelmed with all kinds of
responsibilities. Searching for local funeral homes, everyone's
pricing was so complicated and full of nickel-and-diming--it was
literally and figuratively just too much. CC&BC was the one that stood
out from all the rest as being reasonable and having a simple tiered
pricing package. I honestly thought the pricing was wrong--I called to
inquire if perhaps the prices hadn't been updating on the website, but
sure enough Jorge in National City quoted me the price I saw on the
website as correct. The insurance company rep was even surprised by
how extremely reasonable the pricing was.

From within minutes of calling CC&BC, Jorge began lifting all kinds of
weights off my shoulders. I had the hospital hounding me with calls
and voicemails to hurry up and move my father out of the
morgue. Almost immediately Jorge said he was on it--literally he
texted me to tell me he was on his way to pick up my Dad. Paperwork
was emailed to me to begin filling out and I met with Jorge in person
the next day. From going onsite to get a walk-through of the
facilities, getting my questions answered in person regarding all the
financial paperwork, picking out the right type of service, urn and
rental of the dining facility, and until the actual day of the
service, Jorge and his staff, including "Red", were so kind, patient
and genuinely helpful throughout the entire process.

Everything was handled so well that the service and dining went better
than planned within the month. I was able to focus on all the
arrangements for local family and those from out of town--it was
truely an awesome experience and my family can't thank Jorge and Red
enough for all of their help. I have already recommended this place to
several of my family and friends and highly recommend to everyone else
as well.

My sincere thanks to California Cremation & Burial, and especially to Tory. She was a tremendous help to me and my family. There were many decisions to be made, and her empathy and kindness kept me grounded throughout the process.

Jorge the Director took great care of my husband who required transport from Nevada to California and military services at Miramar National Cemetery. The Mortuary is beautiful and the staff was very helpful. All paperwork and payments went smoothly online. I have used California Cremation twice now, once for my mother and then my son. I don't even remember how I chose them for my mother about 6 years ago but after my son died there was no question that I would be using them again. I am from Arizona and they were wonderful about advising me about paper work etc and helped to expedite obtaining an urn. Professional and caring, I would highly recommend them. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would.

When my sister in law passed away last September 9, 2023, we called California Burial Chapel right away to handle the funeral requirements and spoke with Mr. Jorge Rizo, the funeral director. Knowing all that we need for the funeral arrangements, Mr. Jorge Rizo took care immediately all of the things we need to do and prepare. In short, everything went well and without a hitch so to say. The viewing as expected was flawless and even the visitors that
came to give their condolences were impressed by the arrangements and the place was very clean and presentable. Everything possible that we required from the beginning to end were all provided, supported and met by Mr. Jorge Rizo. One of the arrangements made was the shipping of the remains to the Philippines. That too was done in the best way possible. Truly, losing a loved one and the accompanying tasks and responsibilities beside the mountains of expenses can be so stressful. But dealing with California Burial and Cremation through Mr. Jorge Rizo made it all bearable and consoling. I highly recommend California Burial and Cremation to everyone especially to those like us who were unprepared in such life altering and bereaving events like losing a loved one without proper planning and advance preparation. The cost of the services were very reasonable. The place is nice & clean. They provided us with different options and we were able to customize the service to our liking. Highly recommend. I had a list of about 50 cremation services and randomly chose this one after reading the reviews. Turns out that it was a fantastic choice. From beginning to end, they were excellent. I had sympathetic, kind individuals who answered my calls, all of whom were able to assist me. All facets of the process went smoothly. The urn I purchased was beautiful and of high quality. Prices were competitive. They met my every request. You won't be disappointed with California Cremation.

Words can not express my gratitude. From my initial contact to final preparations for my husband's services California Burial Chapel was there every step of the way. My husbands uncle whom he loved very dearly passed away last year September 2020. We didn’t know who to call or where to seek help, fortunately we found California Cremation & Burial through a list of funeral homes the hospital provided. Our uncle had to be shipped back home to Guatemala to be put to rest, and Liz made everything super smooth and easy for us. She took care of everything, and anytime I had a question and had to call her she always answered my calls. Mind you this was during COVID so we did have to wait a little to get everything done since the Consulate in Guatemala was closed etc. But Liz was on top of everything, calling everyone she had to, and luckily she was able to get things done quicker. She even drove up to Sacramento to pick up documents for us! I HIGHLY recommend their services, they are a very reputable and professional Funeral home. I called them on a Saturday morning (after having called other places who didn’t answer) and they scheduled to meet with us that very same morning. They truly are caring and professional people.
