William Ambrose Twyman, from San Diego, CA. passed away Tuesday, December 19th, 2023, after a 6-year battle with Parkinson's Disease. Wiliam A Twyman was born June 14th, 1937 to Parents Jessie Ambrose Twyman and Rebecca Twyman, in Richmond Virginia. He graduated from Armstrong High School in Washington D.C. in June of 1957. Immediately following he began his Naval Service as a Radioman in 1957 and ended his Naval Service as a Naval Amphibious school instructor in 1979. Retiring from the Navy on April 29th, 1979 as a Master Chief Petty Officer. Continuing his work, he joined the Civil Service as a Naval Communication station director in 1979. During this time he furthered his education at USD, receiving a Bachelors in Personal Management. Finishing his education at National University with a Masters in Telecommunication Management. His recent achievements, allowed him to grow within the Civil Service and retire as a Director of Afloat Network Operations in 2015. In total, he gave 57 years of service to his country. After retiring he continued to be a servant of God. With his remaining time spent with his children, grandchildren, and long-time companion Elloise Bingham. William Ambrose Twyman was preceded by (Father) Jessie Twyman, (Mother) Rebecca Twyman, (son) Larry Twyman, (grandchild) Monique Clark, and (wife) of 20 years Billie Twyman. William was survived by Children: Mandell Twyman, Micheal Twyman , daughter-in-law Gail Twyman, Tony Clark, Ronnie Clark, Tina Clark. He was followed by grandchildren: Lasha Twyman, Kyndra Brown, Stephen Green, Shaphan Joseph, Stephen Groves ll, Rae'Nisha Clark, Reauna Johnson, Tyeena Lassiter, and Faith Clark. Along with a large number of great-grandchildren who loved him dearly. A man formed from integrity, Morality, with an obedience to God. He was our example of strength and perseverance, a true definition of a self-made man. He led this family with his head held high, the best gift God could have given us and he was a true role model. Leaving behind a family who will forever love you and be proud to carry on your name and legacy!
