Sie “Sidney” Huddleston Jr. aged 54, passed peacefully in his sleep on February 1st, 2020, while visiting family in San Diego, California. Sidney was born November 30th, 1965 at Kaiser Hospital in Harbor City, California, the son of the late and beloved Bernice Becker and Sie Huddleston Sr. He attended Roosevelt Jr. High and Compton High School in Compton, California. Sidney’s occupations over 36 years, were in sales. From selling newspapers to real estate. He did it all. At an early age he professed his faith in Jesus Christ. He joined Christ Lutheran Church in Compton, where he was a member for many years.
Sidney loved to compete and play games like chess and dominoes. His hobbies include: traveling, shooting pool, watching movies, collecting cars, dressing nicely, playing miniature golf, watching the Lakers and spending many of his days at the casino where he enjoyed talking to people and making new friends. Sidney lived a simple life. Smiling, laughing and talking is what he loved to do most. Family and friends were Sidney’s passion and delight. He tried to attend every family function: birthday parties, graduations, weddings and family reunions. As a result of his generous spirit and outgoing personality, he was loved by many. His life was a fun-filled adventure, full of happiness and as abundant as the people that surrounded him. Sidney’s influence will forever remain in the lives of those who knew him.
Sidney is survived by his 6 siblings, Eddy, Troy, Kevin, Donte, Sean and Judy. His best friend of nearly 50 years, Dr. Calvin Davis, will always remember the good times that they shared. He also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and close friends. The family wishes to extend their gratitude and thanks to everyone for their support during this difficult time.
