Sandra H. Boomer, Mira Mesa, California, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2024, due to health complications from multiple sclerosis. She was 72.
Sandie was born in 1951 in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. She is predeceased by her parents John Hall and Evelyn Wilson Hall and a sister, Susie Hall Burket. She is survived by two nieces, Brandi (Chris B.) Burket and Shannon (Chad) Snare, and a brother-in-law, Clair (Gini K.) Burket.
She was an avid reader and animal lover, and ran a successful pet sitting company, Wags To Purrs. She cherished the life-long friendships she made over the years through her business.
Sandie never let life’s challenges hold her back. Those that knew her were inspired by her kindness, good humor and positive spirit.
Special thanks to the staff of Pacific Valley Hospice and Accent Care Hospice and the many compassionate caregivers she has been fortunate to know.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to any one of Sandie’s favorite charities including, The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee, the Oasis Sanctuary in Arizona (avian rescue), the Pacific Valley Hospice, and Accent Care Hospice.
A friend to many, she will be missed.
