Dirty Red later married Lonnie C. Sharpe in 1946. During this time sadie found out she was pregnant with her first child so she moved to Chicago with her sister Bernice. She ended up having 5 children and finally moved to San Diego in 1952 where she had 8 more children.
Sadie was a strong, independent, hard working woman who raised 13 children after her husband Lonnie passed. Sadie later met her longtime friend Daniel White. While raising her children Sadie worked as a housekeeper and later found a job at Balboa Hospital. Sadie enjoyed traveling, going to the horse races and highlights in Tijuana. She also enjoyed playing cards, bingo, keno and the machines but most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends. In 1994 she moved to Las Vegas and she traveled back and forth because San Diego was her real home. Finally in 2014 she made the permanent move to Las Vegas where she lived her remaining years.
