Rosa Maria Azada

Rosa Maria ‘Rosita’ Azada passed away with family by her side on December 20, 2021.

Rosita was born on June 7, 1937 to Juan Azada and Argentina Azada (née Pike) in Manila, Philippines. She was the youngest of four siblings, Mercedes (deceased), Cecilia (deceased), and Romualdo (deceased).

Rosita met Lauro Mangat in 1958 in Pasig (Manila, Philippines). On June 14, 1959, Rosita married Lauro, and they had seven children: Maria ‘Gina’ Mangat, Ernesto ‘Boboy’ Mangat,  Bernardino ‘Dino’ Mangat, Lauro ‘June’ Mangat, Jr., Ronaldo ‘Onang’ Mangat, Maria Victoria ‘Vicky’ Mangat, Elyzabeth ‘Lyz’ Barbrack.

Those who had the wonderful opportunity to know Rosita will remember her fondly for her selflessness. Despite having grown up with little, in her eyes, there was always someone else who needed her assistance. She treated everyone with kindness and respect, and she radiated warmth and joy to those that surrounded her.

Of the many accomplishments of Rosita’s life, she will be best remembered as a wonderful mother who tenaciously protected and provided for her kids and those she loved.

Rosita is survived by her four children, Gina, Dino, Vicky, Lyz, and 26 grandchildren: Eugene, Erwin, Edward, PJ, Jeddalyn, Michelle, Michael, Marisse, Jessica, Jerremy, Darian, Andrew, Marie Rose, Sheena (deceased), Rose, Naki, Joy, Rhyan, Crystal, Dya, Genie, Yuki, Justine, Jace, Jazel, Alyssa. Rosita also has 24 great grandchildren who will carry on with her legacy: Christian, Christalyn, Justine Ethan, Cedric, Cyrus, Christel, Ella, Ashley, Mace, CJ, Dominic, Nathaniel, Adriana, Erica,  Zian, Jaiden, Raizel, Raiden, Judie, Adam, Alonzo, Cody, Caidy, and Kensington.
