Omar Russell

On Feb 11, 2020 Omar Russell, a loving husband and father passed away unexpectedly at the age of 45.

Omar was born in the Philippines on July 10, 1974. The first of three children to Marilou Barnum Russell. He moved to the United States in 1988, whereupon San Diego became his home. It was here, he met his loving wife Carolyn. They got married in 2003 and raised three beautiful children together; Lana, Brooke and Jordan. 

Omar was a family man and demonstrated his love daily for them by cooking cherished dinner meals. When not cooking for his family, he interacted and played with the children. Omar made sure each day ended with love.  

Omar was known for his humor and often told hilarious jokes. He wanted to make people around him happy.  Also known for his generosity and compassionate spirit, he had a way of reaching out and making an impact to those around him. He truly was an extended brother to many. Omar was loved, respected and will forever be remembered. He will be dearly missed. 

Omar was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lourdes Barnum Russell and his Aunt Linda Barnum Russell.  He is survived by his wife Carolyn, his three children Lana, Brooke, and Jordan, his mother Marilou Russell, his sister Sheryl Francisco, and brother Marvin Francisco.
