Mary H. Morris

            Mary Helen Morris was born Mary Helen Watkins on Thursday, March 13, 1930 to James Watkins Sr. and Lucy Ann Watkins in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. In her early years, Mary gave her life to God as a young girl while living in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. She continued to live for the Lord throughout her life faithfully until our Heavenly Father called for her to spread her wings to come home to Glory. Mary attended schools in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and Wichita Falls, Texas. She graduated from high school in Brawley, California. Mary met Ira Morris in Brawley, California fell in love and married. To this union six beautiful children were born. Mary is preceded in death by her parents Mr. James Watkins Sr. and Mrs. Lucy Ann Watkins; her husband,  Ira Morris; siblings, Amos Fields, Christine Fields, Opal Beyers, Ella Mae Bradley, Emma Jean Jackson , Leo Watkins, James Watkins Jr. and Leonard Watkins; children, Joyce Olean Morris, Sandra LaVearn Morris, and Kenneth Ray Morris.  Mary leaves to cherish in her memory, her sisters, Hortense Leach of San Diego,CA and Katie Mae Scott of Saint Louis, Mo; children, James Dale Morris (Maxine) of Oakland, CA, Ira Joe Morris, son in law (Larry) daughter in law (Cherryll), Verna Dean Morris-Carter (Bruce) all of San Diego, CA. 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and her church family
