Mary Helen Harvey was born in Copiah, Mississippi on October 20, 1947, to Leonia Flowers and J.A. Jackson. She is the oldest of thirteen siblings.
During the great depression her mother moved the family to San Diego, California so her children could have a better life. Mary attended Sherman and Stockton Elementary schools. Then Memorial Junior High and graduating from San Diego High School.
Mary met and married the love of her life Jeremiah Harvey. To their happy union two sons were born, Stanley and Le'Jon. Nephew Clarence and adopted son Jabar also rounded-out the family.
Other important life events included fashion modeling, which she was formally trained in, bowling, fishing and cooking. Mary retired after 19 years of service at IVAC. After retirement she remained busy operating her own businesses and also working for Qualcomm and Kyocera.
Mary's husband Jeremiah passed away after 32 years of marriage. As well, Mother, Father and brothers J.A., Richard and sister Katie all preceded Mary's passing.
Survivors: sons, Stanley, Sr., Le'Jon, Jabar and Clarence. Sisters: Brenda, Pearl, Ruby, Rita and Mary K. Brothers: Eddie, Charles, Roy and Gene. Six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren. Aunt Iola Jackson, many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and the Harvey family.
Mary Helen is profoundly missed by everyone.
