Marlon Bunch was born December 13, 1970 to Jessie and Temeria Bunch, in Chicago, IL. Shortly after his parents divorced, his mother moved to San Diego with him and his siblings. Victor, Lura, Andre and Drafton. After his mother’s passing Marlon moved to Arkansas to live with his dad, stepmother Leomia “Blacky” Glass, and Aunt Adna Lee Carroll where he continued his formal education. Upon graduating from high school, he returned to California where he attended college receiving his associates degree in 1996. Marlon married LaDonna in August 2000. Within that union they gave life to Jessie and Temeria. Marlon also raised LaDonna’s oldest children Kyanna and Stephen. After the passing of his wife, he met and fell in love with Denise, the mother of his youngest child, Marlena. He was employed by the local union, however, his love of cooking lead him to pursue a catering career. During his entrepreneurial journey Marlon developed strong ties to his community. He impacted young lives as a basketball coach for recreational centers and at Patrick Henry High for several years,. Marlon’s extroverted manner influenced him to achieve his bartending license that was used at private events as well as NCity bar. He entertained his patrons with his jokes and infectious laugh. One of Marlon’s passions was R&B music, with his favorite singer being Bobby Brown his favorite group being Troop. He was preceded in death by his father and mother Jessie and Temeria Bunch; His wife LaDonna Bunch . He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Marlena, Temeria, Jessie, Stephen and Kyanna, his granddaughter Aubrey, sister Lura Brashear; brothers Victor Worsham; Andre Worsham; and Drafton Bunch; San Diego, CA along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
