Marjorie Loyd Obituary

Marjorie Joy Loyd was born in Northern Africa, Casablanca  Morocco of all places to the late Leroy and Minnie SMith. Marjorie was a vibrant colorful personality,
She is proceeded in death by sisters Carolyn M. Smith and Denice Mayo.  Marjorie received her formal education at Knox Elementary and San San Diego High School, graduating in 1979.
She went on to a career as a buyer for a Mortgage Co. While working in the Corp world, Marjorie longed for something else.  She was always an entrepreneur at heart.  At 10yrs she made and sold crochet hats and purses.  Marjorie went on to receive her degrees in Holistic Massage and Cosmetology and started her own business pampering people and making people feel blessed with her annointed hands.
Marjorie accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior attending St Stephens's COGIC and went on the marry Pastor John Loyd, started a family with two sons, John Leroy Loyd and Khari Malik Loyd.   Marjorie also known to some, as the Love DR. moved to South Africa with her husband and two son's to start a new adventure as well as a church where she would become the spiritual mother to 100's of young men and women. that number would only grow more with her radio show "God's Grace and the Love Dr" that touched peoples hearts and filled their spirt as they would hear of stories of faith and healing every week. Marjorie would even speak of tails of saving gang members and satanists in areas where some would say you must be crazy to go to.  Showing the grace of god, she would not be harmed while having Multiple hits out on her and her family, as a result of saving those who dreamed of being free of gangsterism and witchcraft. fast forward to the last years of her life she was bedridden but every bit the women she once was. smiling every day, speaking of faith and better days. she continued to touch others with just a simple smile and a warmth that would touch the hearts of many. Marjorie was happy, strong, caring, and most of all loving and she never lost that spark even up to the last of her days.

Although she leaves loved ones behind she promises to see them again she asked that you dont cry of her passing but celebrate her home coming. Marjorie leaves behind to grieve her: her husband John Loyd, sons john leroy loyd, Khari Malik Loyd, sister Janet Stephens, Brothers Lenard Smith and Vernon Smith;nephews and nieces  Lennis Stephens, Vernon Smith Jr, and Claude De Andre Cherry,Yolonda smith Goines,  Tanrika Smith, Sherri Mayo and Jermaine Mayo.  All whom  have, no doubt, their own individual memories of Marjorie's unique style of showing them LOVE.
"Although I am gone, you will never be without me. All the best parts of me i have given to those i love. Remember i am with my father talking to him about the wonder people i had in my life and while i can't wait to be reunited with you all again, i pray you may have long happy lives".
