Marie Eyliene Torres-Austin of San Diego, California, met her final sunset on May 22nd, 2026 in the city she loved.

Born and raised a true San Diego native Californian, she was a fierce spirit that loved her large biological and extended family. Her life contained many amazing chapters that many people were a part of. Always the maternal figure, she was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother and loyal friend. Her cooking skills are known far and wide. You were privileged if ever invited over for her famous “Tacos”!
She is survived by her only daughter, Yvette Marie Torres-Barrett and grandson Dean Chile Torres. 

Her Celebration of Life will be held June 13th 2pm - 6pm at the Soledad Club
