Mariano Catayong

Mariano N.  Catayong, Sr., 96, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 13, 2024 in San Diego, California. 

Mariano was born on October 7, 1927 in Eastern Samar, Philippines.

Survived with six kids with Pascuala Catayong, who passed in 2009 and blessed with14 grandkids and 21 great grandkids.

In his free time, Mariano loved word searches, reading the newspaper, yard work, dancing, and singing karaoke with his favorite drink, Corona beer.  He loved telling stories, especially about his experiences during WWII.   

He enjoyed watching basketball, boxing, and UFC. He was a big fan of basketball athlete Steph Curry.
