Haydee was born on May 2, 1970 in Dagupan City, Philippines. A consistent honor student from elementary to high school, she managed to balance her studies and involvement in various school athletic programs and social activities. Once at the beach playing volleyball, a university coach approached and urged her to try out for the sports in Manila. A scholarship grant from the Far Eastern University (FEU) to play for its volleyball team has fizzled after deciding, with no regrets, to stay in the province to look after her parents. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in Commerce major in Accounting from the University of Pangasinan in 1991.
Haydee was a born-again Christian. She came to know the Lord Jesus Christ in high school through the invitation and encouragement of a professor friend. She became a member of Jesus is Lord (JIL) Fellowship, Dagupan Chapter in 1985, Christ’s Commission Fellowship (CCF), Ortigas Center in 1999 and Living Rock Christian Church (LRCC), San Diego in 2011. She was active in various church ministries like the arts and design, CF Mymeistry, children’s, women’s, mission and outreach, and help.
Haydee was an avid student of the bible. She received a Certificate of Biblical Studies from the Promise Christian University (PCU), California, in 2012. She graduated from the International School of Ministry (ISOM) Bible School in 2015.
Haydee had many professions throughout her life and had worked for big companies like Dowell Container and Packaging Corporation in Manila, Navy Exchange Store North Island, Sanyo North America Corporation, and Panasonic Appliances Refrigeration Systems Corporation of America (PAPRSA). She successfully pursued a career in Healthcare until she quit her regular job in 2019 to become a personal caregiver for her father dealing with kidney issues.
Haydee enjoyed traveling. She cherished her trip to Israel, where she walked around Jerusalem and got baptized in the Jordan River. She loved nature and had visited Yosemite Park twice. She liked animals, especially dogs. She was the life of the party and no Aquinos event passed without some fun games she prepared and provided with generous prizes. Everyone who knew Haydee felt her big heart and giving nature.
Haydee is survived and missed by her loving parents, Ruperto Sr and Francisca; her sisters, Analyn and Fina; and her brothers, Rupert and Ronald.
Her memory lives on with her nephews, RichterMark, Richmond, and Richard; her niece, Richelle; her brothers-in-law, Rene and Romy; her sister-in-law, Jane; and her countless friends, both in the US and the Philippines
