Lauro Jiménez was born on April 12, 1949, in a colorful small town in Jalisco, Mexico.   His parents were Lauro Jimenez and Marciana Cervantes.  He was the fifth child of a family of 11.   He grew up in a rancho las verdolagas.    Later, his family moved to San Juan de Los Lagos, Jalisco México.

At a very young age, Lauro showed his generous heart, working skills to help his parents, and being there for his family.   He was a very outgoing young boy, always had a positive way to connect with people.   He was dedicated and persistent in reaching his goals in life.

Afterwards, he had to emigrate to the USA to support his family.   He was a hardworking construction laborer.   Worked for about 50 years of his life until he retired.   He is remembered for his dedication, responsibility, flexibility, honesty, loyalty, and as a loving and caring human being.   He loved to cook.    His expertise was to cook carnitas, spicy salsas, and carne asada.
