LaTanya Elexa Lee Donaldson was born March 22, 1962 in Topeka, Kansas to Robert E. Lee and Dorothy J. Lee. She was the second of four siblings. LaTanya attended Bartlett High School in Anchorage Alaska where she was the Magnum Cum Laude. During her junior year of high school, she attended Rensselaer University summer program. LaTanya went on to attend Harvard University where she graduated with honors with a degree in Electrical Engineering. LaTanya attended the University of Arizona where she received her medical degree. Latanya would go onto complete her four years of military service in the Army, serving in Panama, where she met her husband, Luis Donaldson. There she gave birth to her two daughters, Alexa Ayeiska Donaldson and Jorvy Chevan Donaldson. Latanya completed her OB/GYN residency in Hawaii, where she gave birth to her son, Kadir Xavier Donaldson. LaTanya’s father, Robert E. Lee and two of her children, Kadir and Ayeiska preceded her in death.
LaTanya was a loving mother to her three children, a dedicated wife, aunt, sister, and daughter. She was a caring doctor who loved what she did and helped so many.
LaTanya is survived by her husband, Luis Donaldson (San Diego CA), her daughter, Jorvy Donaldson Ibarra and her husband, Jesus (Los Angeles, CA); mother, Dorothy Lee (Las Vegas NV); sister, Lorlelei Lee-Haynes (Tracy, CA); brother, Trever Lee and wife Kim (Fair Oaks, CA); brother, Travar Lee (Kansas City); nieces, Jada Haynes, Ebony Lee, Amelia Keefer; nephews, Cameron Haynes, R. Sebastian Lee, Justin Britz, Zac Britz; in-laws, Sarah Knotts, Jackie Keefer and other family located in Panama, many cousins, uncles, aunts and close friends.
