Juanita Gonzales, a beloved mother, friend, and pillar of her community, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2023, at the age of 90. Born on April 25, 1933, in Iba, Zambales, Philippines, Juanita was known for her faith, her love for her family, and her unwavering spirit of resilience.

Juanita was the loving and devoted mother to ten children, five boys and five girls. She was predeceased by her husband and two sons and recently by her daughter on May 14, 2023. Despite the challenges and heartaches she faced, she remained a beacon of strength and love for her surviving children, who will forever cherish her memory.

Juanita's early life in Iba, Zambales Philippines shaped her into the hardworking and determined woman she became. She completed her high school education in her hometown of Iba,Zambales Philippines. From a young age, she was industrious, buying and selling fish and vegetables to support her family. Her entrepreneurial spirit and tenacity were qualities that would remain with her throughout her life.

Her deep connection with her birthplace remained constant throughout her life, even as she moved away. The sea was her sanctuary, and she took solace in its rhythmic waves and majestic beauty. She was a woman of many interests – a lover of dance, an artist who found joy in drawing flowers, a skilled seamstress, and a gardener who took immense pride in her vibrant and colorful flower garden.

Juanita was a woman of deep faith and was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church. For her, the church was not just a place of worship, but also a second home. Her faith was a testament to her strength, resilience, and unwavering belief in the power of love and kindness.

Those who knew Juanita will remember her for her jolly nature and sweet demeanor. She was friendly and loving, always ready with a warm smile and a kind word. Her faith-filled life was an inspiration to all who knew her, and her grace and kindness left a lasting impact on everyone she met.
