Jose R. Sanchez

Jose was born on 1 May 1945 in Recife, Brazil, to Francisco and Maria Sanchez.  He was the second of 8 children, to include: Anna Sanchez, Frankie Sanchez, Simon Sanchez, Patricia Bingham, Ricky Sanchez, Peter Sanchez, and Valentino Sanchez.  He graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in Tamuning, Guam in 1961, and attended two years of college at the University of Guam.  He worked in Administration for 3 differently companies over the years, then transitioned to being a Real Estate Broker in various places around the world.  Jose loved reading and sharing books and other materials with other people.  He was both a devout Catholic and Protestant, regularly attending several churches and Bible Studies.  He was also a practicing member of Gideons International, providing both full Bibles and New Testaments in many languages to people and organizations around the world to spread God’s Word.  He aspired to become a Missionary, but poor health for the last 5 years prevented him from doing so.  Jose will be remembered by family and friends as a warm and friendly person, devoted to his mother and siblings, and his god-daughter, Saleena Gallagoes.
