Jonathan Nevels II Obituary

Jonathan Lemuel Nevels II was born in Chula Vista, California on December 13, 1976 to Jonathan Lemuel Nevels and Lecretia Ann (Nevels) Jennings.

He loved sunny California and did not want to live any place else. He grew up loving to play sports. He was a natural athlete. He played soccer, baseball and football. He also had a love of music, in particular rap music and thought of pursuing writing and rapping with his friends. He developed a close relationship with friends Mike Manning and Randy Johnson.

He had a sunny disposition. He was always smiling. His motto was “Life is Good”. He cherished his sister Lenitra. He never missed an opportunity to play a joke or a prank on her.

Jonathan met and married his girlfriend, Jenine Lawrence. They made their home in La Mesa, California. To this union were born Jonathan Tyson Nevels and Jahmal Nevels. His youngest son is Kahlil Nevels. The greatest joy of his life were his three children. He loved being a father. He loved taking care of them, preparing meals, attending their practices and games. He was very proud of their accomplishments.

Jonathan leaves to celebrate his life his sons, Jonathan, Jahmal and Kahlil; Mother and Father, Lecretia (Ricky) Jennings; Jonathan  Lemuel Nevels; Sister, Lenitra (Stuart) Jones. And a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

A special note of gratitude to his uncle and aunt, Alfred and Jacqueline Nevels for your unwavering dedication and support of him.
