John James O'Rourke

John James O’Rourke aka JJ, born September 24th 1965 sadly passed away on Sunday October 18th 2020 from natural causes.

JJ was a permanent fixture in the South Bay. Friendly to everybody and love by so many. JJ was an avid surfer, golfer and mountain biker. He loved camping, Baja Racing and he really loved to go deep sea fishing. A Jack of all trades, JJ had a genuine passion for everything outdoors.

JJ was well known for his witty sense of humor and wonderful smile. JJ’s devotion to his family and friends was unparalleled. A true hero to so many and a huge loss for the world.

Preceded in death by his mother Sumie.

JJ is survived by his Fiancé Aleta Marie Kaplan and her daughter Olivia, his Father James O’Rourke and his Stepmother Joan O’Rourke, his brother Mark O’Rourke and his nephew James aka Jimmy O’Rourke and all of his extended family. He will be sorely missed for many years to come. God Bless you JJ, may you rest in peace with your Mother Sumie cradled together in the arms of our lord for eternity…..
