With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mr. Jason R. Payton, a beloved husband, father, and friend. Jason departed this world unexpectedly on Saturday, December 30, 2023, leaving a deep void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He passed away peacefully, at the age of 41, surrounded by the warmth and affection of his family in Eastlake, California.


Jason was born on April 11, 1982, in San Diego, California, to Debra Payton and Michael Offord. He was a man of remarkable character, known for his infectious smile, kind heart, generous spirit, and unwavering love for his family and friends. Jason was a devoted husband to his best friend & partner of 18 years, his wife of 13 years, Carrie,and a loving father to their two daughters, Kalianey Leila and Audrina Marie.


Jason was a man of many talents and had a successful career as the owner and CEO of PAE Notary. His dedication, hard work, and business acumen were widely admired by his family and friends. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Jason was also deeply committed to his community, and he found immense joy in supporting those around him.Whether he was grilling for his loved ones, cheering for the Chargers, or simply spending quality time with his family and friends, Jason lived life to the fullest, and his passion for life was truly contagious.


Known for his warm smile and gentle spirit, Jason touched the lives of everyone he met. His kindness
extended beyond his family, as he actively participated in various endeavors and community projects
with his daughters’ schools in El Paso. Jason leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and selflessness
that will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.


In addition to his wife, Carrie Payton, and his daughters, Kalianey Lara-Payton and Audrina Payton, Jason
will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Debra (Alfred) Dingle; his brother, Kevin (Daniela) Payton;
his sisters, Kendra (Nicholas) Sibley, Triyana Offord, Breneisha (Kendall) Marbury, Bryanna Payton,
Athena (Andre) Taylor, Yvette Prescott, and Heather Young; and many cousins, nieces and nephews,
aunts and uncles, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Offord, his
paternal grandparents, C.C. Scott and Winifred Barley, and his maternal grandparents, Steven Payton
and Doris Myers.


A celebration of Jason's life will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at 1130 am at California
Cremation & Burial in National City. Friends and family are invited to join in remembrance and support
during this difficult time. May Jason rest in eternal peace, and may his memory continue to shine
brightly in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known him. He will be deeply missed
and fondly remembered.
