Hulrick Baptist, Jr Obituary

Hulrick, known affectionately as Harry or Rick by all who had the privilege of
knowing him, will forever be remembered by his family and friends. His charming
personality, engaging conversations and talent for storytelling touched many lives.
As a jack-of-many-trades, Rick excelled as a mechanic, a construction worker, and
delved into the security profession. He loved the water and found peace in the
beauty of the ocean and the simplicity of watching the sunsets. He loved to watch
football and would come over to watch the Sunday games. He was also a big fan of
watching old western movies and loved listening to old classic blues songs.

To those who knew Rick (as he was affectionately known by all), no explanation is
necessary. It is deeply saddening to know that on Wednesday, May 22 nd , 2024, at
10:45pm, Rick finished his course and has kept the faith, and therefore we know
there is a crown of righteousness awaiting him. By his bedside was his fiancée
Beretha Bennett. Rick's love of God along with the loving spirit he exemplified for
all he met will carry into eternity.
He leaves to mourn his passing are his fiancée Beretha Bennett, his son Hulrick R
Baptist II’s, daughter-in-law Danielle Charmane Baptist, four daughters Jeanne

Ann Alameida and Angel Alameida, Ann Jones of San Diego, CA and Gale Baptist
of New York.
He is also survived by his two loving sisters, Carol Joy Delville (Ira Delville) of
San Diego and Sharon Tillett of Texas. Two brothers: Kirby Tillett (Andriena
Tillett) of Germany and Mike Tillett (Karie Tillett) of Alabama.
He is also survived by his Uncle Raymond Smith of Los Angeles. His four aunts:
Gilda Jean Smith-McCue of Texas, Vilma Flowers of Brooklyn, New York,
Yolanda Colvin of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Sylvia Flowers of Belize. 11
grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, sister-in-law, brother-in-law,
cousin’s, families, and friends.

His mother, Myrna Jean Tillett, preceded him in death.

Though he has left our sights, his influence remains, inspiring us to embrace life,
come what may. He will be deeply missed, but forever cherished in our hearts.
Let’s focus on the stories, the laughter and the love that filled his life. May these
not end with this gathering, but continue to resonate in our hearts and actions.
