Herman Holden Obituary

Herman Holden was born August 19th, 1960 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Lugen Holden and Evelyn Holden Washington. He attended Rufus King High School where he was a scholar student. He was also a well-known basketball player around the neighborhood with the nickname, “The Veteran”, known for his accurate jump shots.

He loved his family and friends dearly. He was always there for anyone and everyone in need, never saying “no”. Anything from helping neighbors with yardwork or car troubles to helping family with financial troubles. Even giving his last sandwich to someone with a smile.

Some of his favorites were family get-togethers like having company over with music playing saying his famous, “Let’s get this party started!”

Herman was highly intelligent with a magnificent memory. He loved solving math problems and spelling words right off the top of his head. He was the only person that has ever read the entire dictionary, front to back, as a kid.

The Lord called him home Tuesday, April 21, 2020.

He will be dearly missed for his caring, loving heart, friendly personality, honesty, and his love for his family.

He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory: Evelyn Holden Washington (mother); brothers: Raymond; sisters: Janice, Cynthia, Diane, and Iteka; aunts and uncles: Joe, William, and Marie; nieces and nephews: Dennis, Robert, Leonardo, LaMario, Ronell, Trayzell, Raymond Jr., Chinyere, Airyana, Edward Jr., Latoria, Aniyah, Trayzell Jr.; Two Children: among other relatives
