Born on January 16, 1935, Fulgencio lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a deep commitment to his family and community. He was an inspiring figure, known for his kindness and wisdom, and for his adventurous spirit that led him to explore and savor life to its fullest.
Fulgencio was a proud graduate of Cabugao Institute, where his love for learning and dedication to his studies was evident. He later earned a B.S. in Accounting from San Diego State University, a testament to his perseverance and commitment to education. His academic achievements were a source of pride and played a crucial role in shaping the person he became.
His professional journey was marked by a long and distinguished career in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1979. His time in the service was a testament to his dedication, resilience, and unwavering patriotism. Fulgencio's work in the Navy was not just a job but a calling, one that he carried out with honor and a deep sense of duty.
Fulgencio's interests were as varied and vibrant as the man himself. An avid sports enthusiast, he was a fervent supporter of the old San Diego Clippers basketball team and the LA Lakers. He found joy in the thrill of the game, and his passion for these teams was infectious, often inspiring spirited debates and lively discussions among family and friends.
His love for physical fitness was evident in his dedication to playing basketball and tennis. He was also an enthusiastic ballroom dancer, and his favorite music genres, Cha Cha, 60's, and Salsa, often filled his home, much to the delight of his family. Fulgencio's love for gardening was a sight to behold; his favorite flowers, roses, orchids, and plumerias, bloomed beautifully under his attentive care, adding beauty and serenity to his surroundings.
Fulgencio is survived by his beloved wife, Esther, who was his lifelong partner and confidante. Their love story was one for the ages, filled with mutual respect, understanding, and deep affection. He was a loving father to his sons Jeff, Randy Gene, and Steve, and a cherished father-in-law to Joselyn, Marie, and Jeanette. Fulgencio was also a doting grandfather to Lauren, Lanie, Jonathan, Genevieve, Tristian, and Trevor. His family was his pride and joy, and he often shared stories of their accomplishments with a twinkle in his eye and a proud smile on his face.
