Fernando Cong was the oldest child born to Enid Marylin Sealey and Chen Kong Chin on September 17, 1948 in Colon, Panama.
Fernando was a very loving and family oriented man who always went out of his way to help anyone. He made it a point to stay in touch with family whether here in San Diego, Detroit, or Panama. Fernando was the glue that kept us connected as a family. He retired after 15 years of working for Westfield Shopping Mall as a maintenance engineer, he worked hard but also enjoyed life by fishing on the bay and listening to jazz.
Fernando married Tywanna Faye Mines on January 21, 1968 in Detroit, Michigan and had two beautiful daughters.
On Friday, January 31, 2020, God called Fernando home to eternal rest. He leaves to cherish his memories: daughters LaTonya Stewart, Traci Thompson, and Tomika Cong, his brothers Eduardo Cong and Pablo Cong, his grandchildren Cory Jackson II, Payton Jackson, Michael Stewart Jr, Tamia King, Cedrion Nixon, Tyjon Nixon and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
