Evelia Hilda Mora Sanchez

Evelia Hilda Mora Sanchez, known as “Evy” to those closest to her, transcended into our Father’s
Kingdom on November 1st, 2023, at 10:51 am. She was born in Lima, Peru on May 1 st, 1967, to Tomas and
Hilda Mora, both predeceased.

She obtained two bachelor’s degrees and a master’s degree from San Diego State University and was a
Spanish professor for over two decades at San Diego community colleges. She was an extraordinary
woman capable of achieving anything she set her mind to all while taking care and supporting her family
and friends, being a pillar, and changing the lives of many. One of her proudest accomplishments is
having raised 3 college-educated children. She was a bright light who loved to laugh and sing and dance.
She loved bringing joy to others with her food and her passion was watermelon.

She is survived by her three children Tom Rogelio Talamantes (34), Mayra Cristal Ramirez (33), Shawn
Martin Talamantes Mora (19) and her 5 grandchildren. Her ashes will be spread on the waters of her
hometown, Chorrillos, and she will live forever in the hearts of all who had the blessing of knowing her.
