Evanell McMackins Obituary

Evanell McMackins was born in Minden Louisiana on July 16, 1941 to the Late Alex and Glin L Williams Sr. She was the first child of 10 Children. Three which preceded her in Death, Brother Howard Williams, Brother Jerry Williams, Sister Barbara Williams, and six surviving siblings, (Sister Bettyjoe Cisneros, Brother Grover Williams, Alex Williams Jr. Sister Susanella James, all of San Diego. Brothers: Hayvert Williams, of Paris California and Kevin E Williams of Providence Rhode Island.

Evanell McMackins grew up in the Point Loma Area where she attended Elementary School and later moved to the San Diego area, where she completed her formal education in the San Diego unified School District. She was married to Charles McMackins who were blessed with two sons Roman C McMackins and Farrell G McMackins of San Diego. The family later moved from Tacoma Washington to San Diego California.

Evanell attended Greater Israelite Church of God in Christ and received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost in 1971. She truly loved the Lord and with delight she loved her pastor/ the members and served the church as an usher, choir member, and worked with the Homeless Ministry. Evanell McMackins also served as an Aspiring Missionary as well and faithfully attended Sunday school and Bible Study.

Evanell was a hard and dedicated worker at Mercy Hospital for over 20 years as an EVS Technician who remained consistent with the values and standards of cleanliness.

As a member of Greater Israelite Church of God in Christ under the watchful care of the late Pastor Harvey W Jessie. She dedicated her life to serving the Lord in and outside of the church. She had a great love and kindness to others. Evanell fought a good fight until the Lord called her home on April 19, 2019 at 6:00 AM at the age of 77. 2 Corinthians 5:8 says “We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord”.

Evanell McMackins leaves to cherish her life and loving memories two sons: Roman C McMackins and Elder Farrell G McMackins. Daughter in Law, Evangelist Cammy McMackins, and three grandchildren, grand daughter Jekia McMackins and grandsons Josiah McMackins, Jeremiah McMackins all of San Diego.

Evanell’s precious life and loving memories will remain with a host of relatives, church family, friends and neighbors forever in your hearts. If there ever comes a day where we can’t be together keep me in your heart where I will stay there forever.
