Eulalio “OLAN” Arellano, of San Diego passed away February 21, 2019 doing what he loves most, spending quality time with his wife and grandchildren. Originally from Magsingal, Ilocos Sur Philippines where he was born to parents Mateo and Bernardina. He finished his secondary education at St. Williams High School and thereafter he immediately joined the Philippine Marines. He faithfully served for over 20 years performing various duties which includes 13 years in the Malacañang Palace as Presidential Security. Retiring from the Philippines Armed Forces, he with the rest of his family emigrated to Guam, USA in 1990 where they took roots and resided until eventually relocating to San Diego, CA. He remained devotedly married to his only wife Angelina “LINA” Arellano til the day of his passing. Olan and Lina were blessed with five kids ALVIN, RAFFY, JUN-JUN, ELMER and LJ and many grandkids. Olan loved to travel with Lina as they frequently flew back and forth from their humble abode in the Philippines to San Diego and to any other places to be with their children and grandchildren. When he is not babysitting his grandkids, he enjoyed a very active and healthy lifestyle to which some of his hobbies are jogging, hiking and walking. He also finds pleasure in meeting and conversing with his fellow soldiers in the Philippines where he exudes genuine camaraderie with his fellow retired Marines whom are proactive in serving their respective communities.
OLAN is survived by his loving wife, children and grandchildren.
