After high school, he continued his educational journey and earned an Associate's Degree, which paved the way for his successful professional career. For 40 years, Etheridge served with dedication and commitment at the Defense Reutilization & Marketing Service (DRMO). He was known for his immaculate attention to detail and his ability to manage the complexities of the CA Zone management. His colleagues held him in high regard as someone who could be depended on, and his work ethic was second to none. Outside of his professional life, Etheridge had a rich tapestry of interests. He was an avid golfer who loved the thrill of the game. He was also an active member of the Kiwanis group of Southeastern San Diego, contributing significantly to their community service efforts. Etheridge cherished the time he spent with his family and friends, often being the life of the party with his friendly and adventurous spirit. Travel was another passion of Etheridge's. He loved visiting Las Vegas and returning to his home state of Georgia, where he would often regale his loved ones with tales of his travels. A culinary enthusiast, Etheridge enjoyed experimenting in the kitchen and had a knack for creating delicious meals that left everyone asking for seconds. His love for sports was evident in his unwavering support for his favorite teams, the LA Lakers, San Diego Padres, and LA Chargers. Etheridge had an eclectic taste in music, with a particular fondness for Jazz, Oldies, and Motown. His love for these genres was infectious, often leading to impromptu dance parties that became a cherished tradition among his family and friends. His favorite flowers were roses and carnations, and he could often be found tending to them in his garden, a testament to his thoughtful nature and love for beauty.
