Cristina Vergara Endaya passed away peacefully on Mother’s Day, May 11, 2025, at the age of 104. Born on December 20, 1920 in Calicanto, San Juan, Batangas, to Felipa Salud and Putinciano Vergara, she lived a long and grace-filled life devoted to family, community, and faith. She was the beloved wife of the late Juan A. Endaya, and together they were blessed with 10 children, 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren—each a living testament to her nurturing spirit and enduring legacy. She began her early years as a seamstress and spent over 30 years supporting her husband in public service to Barangay Libato. In her later years, she immigrated to the United States, where she poured her love into caring for her grandchildren. Her days were filled with warm embraces that turned into smelling kisses, stories from back home, and a supportive presence that made everyone feel loved and heard. She was known as a proper lady, always graceful and composed, with a sharp wit and gentle humor. She found joy in simple family gatherings at her home filled with the laughter of her children and grandchildren. As we commend her soul to the loving embrace of our Heavenly Father, we take comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with her beloved husband, children, siblings, and parents where she rests in eternal peace.
