Benedict Bernal

Benedict Abillo Bernal, known as Bobby to his family and friends, passed away at the age of
65. Bobby was born in Cavite City, Philippines. In 1982, he moved to San Diego, California and
has been a resident since, which is where he took his last breath. He was a beloved son of the
late Armando and Paulita Bernal, a brother, and a father of six, and gradfather of three.
Bobby attended the seminary for a short period of time in college. Bobby had a love for
cooking. He always displayed a love for food, but especially in cooking. He would even offer
tips to make the process easier and of course, tastier! Bobby had a love for music. He loved
to sing and play the guitar and harmonica attached to his guitar. Music was the rhythm of
Bobby’s life, with a fondness for the beats of the '70s. Bobby left a mark on the hearts of all
who knew him. We take solace in knowing that Bobby’s spirit will forever sing with the choirs
of angels in heaven with the songs he loved.
Rest in peace, dear Bobby; you will truly be missed and your memory will forever be treasured.
