In Loving Memory
Belinda Camilla Lodge
October 6, 1955 – February 5, 2026
Belinda Camilla Lodge was born in San Diego, California, on October 6, 1955, to William S. Lodge and Adelene Justice-Thompson, and was raised by her stepfather and stepmother, Charles and Eva Thompson.
Belinda walked into rooms like a celebration—feisty fire in her step, a contagious smile that dared the world to loosen up and laugh.
To many, she was Ms. Belinda. She was Auntie Belinda, steady and stylish. She was Nana, soft and warm. She was Mom, strong and loving. She was Grandmommie—a name wrapped in laughter, comfort, and unconditional love.
Color was her signature. Every shade knew its place—dress, shoes, jewelry, headscarf tied just right. Nothing accidental, everything intentional. Those scarves—if they could talk—they’d tell stories of confidence, flair, and a woman who knew exactly who she was.
Belinda could talk to anyone and somehow make them feel like someone. A natural conversationalist, she could connect with anyone and leave a lasting impression. A stranger never stayed a stranger long.
She was an entrepreneur and businesswoman, a builder of ideas and opportunities. She was also a beloved teacher for the Texarkana Arkansas School District, leaving lasting impressions far beyond the classroom.
She was also known as the “cake lady.” Her cakes were not just desserts—they were centerpieces, masterpieces layered with love and imagination. Each one elaborate and beautiful, crafted with care and pride. Celebrations felt incomplete without something sweet from her hands.
The kitchen was her kingdom. Love simmered in every pot, passion seasoned every dish. Her food brought people together—and everyone knew it was made with heart, joy, and soul.
Music lived inside her. She could turn anything into a song, any moment into a dance. Joy followed her naturally, as if it had always known her.
She was loved—by many, deeply and truly. And even now, when laughter bursts out unexpectedly, when colors feel brighter, when a song sneaks into an ordinary moment—that’s Belinda.
Not gone. Just living on in every life she touched, which turns out to be everywhere.
