Dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Barbara Ann Brown was born on October 15, 1944 to George and Ella Sebree, Sr., in Evansville, Indiana. She was the oldest of two children. Barbara Ann accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age. The Sebree family later moved from Evansville to Kirkwood, Missouri, where Barbara received her formal education. She attended and graduated from Kirkwood High School and later worked for the Military Records Center on Page Boulevard in St Louis, Missouri for many years.

After marriage to Bro. Charley Brown, who resided in San Diego, they moved the family to San Diego, where Barbara worked for the Government until her retirement in year 2000. Upon moving to San Diego, Sis. Barbara joined the Encanto So. Baptist Church. She was a faithful member, ready and willing to work, witness and minister to all in need. Over the years, Sis. Barbara was a member of the Adult Choir, served as President of the Usher Board, an active participant in Sunday School, M id-Week Bible Study, the Outreach-In reach Ministry to sick and homebound members, the WM U, and served as a Small Group Leader. Sis. Barbara facilitated the ?Angel Tree Ministry - a program of Prison Fellowship, which provides Christmas gifts to the children of inmates. Her kind and loving spirit will be missed by all those who knew her.
