Sandra Jane Harrison, a native Californian, spent most of her life within the confines of dust and morning dew, in the fields of Riverside county. She was employed at the Old Down Town Bakery (San Diego) from 1953 until 1960. In 1961, she married Jose Luis Gomez and moved to Riverside, CA. In the Riverside area, Sandra and her husband Mr. Gomez worked in the agricultural industry until his death in 1999. "The work was so hard and the days were exhausting" was how Sandra often described the reason why they never had an opportunity to start a family.
Sandra is survived by one niece Rebecca Dankworth of Greensboro, North Carolina and two nephews Martin Harrison of San Francisco, CA and Fernsby Harrison of Dequincy, LA.
There are plans for a memorial service for Sandra in Riverside next spring.
