Reginald Harris was born in Portsmouth, Virginia, April 27 1958 to Mary Harris. Primary school education in Portsmouth Virginia. He attended Woodrow Wilson High School, in Portsmouth Virginia, where he played in the school’s marching band. While there a band was formed named “The Mighty Impersonator’s” which performed all around the United States such as Las Vegas, Philadelphia, Norfolk Virginia, and various other states. In 1982 he decided to venture out to California with his sister, Brenda and brother-in-law Leroy Branch. There Reginald decided to stay and work at the U.S. Navy Submarine Base in Point Loma California. Moving on he was asked to cook for the state of California. An experienced landscaper and Gardener, Troy asked him to work in his spare time with his business. As lead designer and gardener, Jake (as he was known) also was the bar back for the V.F.W. Post 5179 and American Legion Post 310 in San Diego. Reginald stopped this position due to a critical accident. He is preceded in death by his sister Maureen Elizabeth Riley, brother, Kenneth Peebles, Mother, Mary H. Peebles and father, Armsted Smallwood.
