Rebecca McElroy

Rebecca Mae McElroy was born to Ronald McElroy and Dorothy Alto Leonard on October 13th 1977 in San Diego CA.  She was lovingly called PoohBear. In 1979 at the age of 2 she lost her mother. Pamonia Jones stepped in to help Ronald raise her, with this help she was blessed with two bonus dads. Luther Bellamy who preceded her in death and Maendeleo Jacobs. She received her formal education in the San Diego school district.

Rebecca was a very loving and affectionate person who loved her family dearly. She was caring, respectful and would give you the shirt off her back if you asked. She always knew how to make you laugh with silly facial expressions and corny jokes. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in her teenage years. She was a member of New Horizon Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late reverend William R. Charles. As a young girl she was an active participant in the church. She was in the choir and acted in church plays, she attended Friday night live as well as bible study. On November 2nd 2015 she married Ricky Stewart.

On September 29th 2018 at the age of 40, our Lord and Father called Rebecca home and she received her wings because he had better plans for her in heaven than here on earth. She has been reunited with her mother Dorothy Alto Leonard, her bonus father Luther Bellamy and eldest brother Robert Kuhl.

She leaves to live on her legacy her husband Ricky Stewart, sons Daveon Ellis (25) Zamaree Stewart (4), her daughters Melissa McElroy (19) Shidora Jones (15) Nynesha Stewart (6) and Amelia Ann Stewart (5). Her father Ronald Elijah Muhammad her mother Pamonia Jones. Her Brothers William Leonard, Jermaine Brown. Her sisters Theresa Leonard, Octavia Jones, Cha’Ta Cyvonne Jacobs. One Grandson Marjea Antonio Nymatii Ipsew Ellis (4). Her 8 Nephews and 5 Neices. A host of many more family and friends.
