Maria Elena Williams born Maria Elena Taglieber passed on September 18th 2019 at the age of 62 at 12:42 p.m. She was born on July 23rd 1957 to Stanley Taglieber and Sarah Wilson in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. Her family was moved to San Diego in 1973 where she resided the rest of her life. While in San Diego she fell in love with McKinley Williams her husband who preceded her in death in 1991 which was very hard for her to gain closure. She had many friends as she worked throughout the years as a billing specialist for Physicians and Surgeons Hospital and many doctors in the area throughout the years. Her first love had been nursing at Frederica senior home. She worked very hard for many years to provide for her family and occasionally helped out friends. She volunteered for many years at Saint Rita's Church and was known for the cherry tree booth. I have many good memories of my mother when I was younger and one of my favorite is that she was always very overprotective. When I was about six or seven I had my feet in casts after I had surgery and she didn’t have a car (she couldn’t drive) and she would walk to my appointment but the thing is I wouldn’t actually be walking she would be carrying me with these two heavy cast on. My mother’s was always very good at caring for us and ensuring that we got everything we needed. She will be missed by her stepfather Murrill McCoy, her daughter Murrilisa Mitchell and her son Jose Rodriguez. She was blessed with four grandchildren Nicole Taylor and Sonora Mitchell and Robert Lizano. She had several sisters and brothers precede her most recently her sister Kathy, Her siblings who live on Tommy and Liz, John, and Sally Wilson, Stanley Taglieber and Georgi Sharp whom she loved dearly. She loved wearing fancy sandals and fancy nails.
