Bruce Frederick Herms

Born in the Normal Heights Neighborhood of San Diego on May 6, 1927, at home to Corrine Alice Zumwalt and Charlie Herms,both recent arrivals to California from Texas. Youngest of 4 children, he spent his first 9 years enjoying a cosmopolitan lifestyle of movie theaters, street car rides, long walks and visits to the 1930's era World Exposition in Balboa Park.In 1959 Bruce wedded Mary Davies, with that came a son Rick and a daughter Jeanne to complete their family. Bruce loved learning. He had an amazing memory for details of his own life as well as history. His life is woven into the fabrics of our hearts. He will be missed and remembered
