Allen James Collins

Allen was born to Ernest and Vera Odessa Collins, January 2, 1948, in Bonham, Texas.  

The family moved from Ladonia Texas to Calipatria, California when he was 12 years old.

Allen graduated from Calipatria High School in 1966.  He was an Exceptional Athlete.
He excelled in Track & Field and Football.

Allen later attended Imperial Valley Junior College from 1967-1969.
Education was very Important to him (Something that he instilled in his children & grandchildren).
He continued playing his favorite sport, Football through his college year.

Allen worked for Cook Valley Foods (Cooks Valley Market / Brawley, El Centro, Imperial)
from 1968 to 1998.  He was a people person and advance to quickly to a management position.

Allen was drafted into the Army in 1969.  There he quickly advanced Allen received an Honorable Discharge in 1971.

Allen married Shirley Ann Baber and to their union Allen James Collins Jr & Lorraine Denise Collins.

He married Carmen Katheryn McFadden and to their union Michelle Lavette Collins.

Allen was worked for Costco (Price Club) from 10/2000 until he retired in 5/2017.  He was a HARD WORKER who strived for PERFECTION.   He received a Certificate of Appreciation and honored with Employee of the Year.

Allen loved his Family, Friends, 1955 Ford Pick-up-Lopin Lizzy, Harley Davidson Motorcycle, Fishing, the Patriots, Football, Phil’s BBQ, Chicken Enchiladas,

Allen James Collins closed his eyes and received his wings on November 28, 2019.

He was preceded in death by mother: Vera Odessa Collins and brother: Jimmy Ray Collins

Allen leaves to cherish his memory father: Ernest Collins, Banning, CA, three brothers: Johnnie Earl Collins (Maria) Colorado Springs, CO and Bobby Lee Collins, Phoenix, AZ, & Rusty Melton (Teresa), Descanso, CA.   He leaves as his legacy one son: Allen James Collins, Jr (Sylvia Brown-Collins)
Brawley, CA, two daughters: Lorraine Denise Collins (Brawley, CA) and Michelle Lavette Collins, San Diego, CA, six grandchildren: Briana Ne’icole Callicutt (Darnell Callicutt) , Don’ziel Allen Collins, Antoine Thomas Jr., Rose Patterson, Allen James Collins III, & Katelynn Theresa Collins, two great-grandchildren:

Amera Dailon Collins and Chase Lance Lewis, one Aunt: Lois Stewart and host of nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
