Alice Paulette (Thompson) Robb

Alice Paulette Thompson was born Monday Nov. 29, 1948 at Kern County Hospital in Bakersfield, Ca to Essie B Thompson (Charles Edward Thompson) & Myrtle Blake. She was named after her grandmother Alice Williams Jackson of Idabelle Oklahoma. Alice was affectionately called Pat by family and close friends. She was Blessed to have many siblings, 15 to be exact .         

Pat attended Stockton Elementary, Memorial Jr High and Wright Brothers High Schools in San Diego, Ca . She sang Opera and in her school choir and at New Creations Church (where she later became an Eastern Star .) Pat and her long time family friends Renee and Albert Reed created a gospel group called Few Are Chosen, they even produced a few Gospel Cd’s . When Pat was 15 or 16 she started singing at the Olaha Club in Tiajuana, Mexico where she was the lead singer of a group called DD Tease. She declined to tour the world singing to raise her family.

Pat Married Eddie Wilkerson II in 1961 and they were Blessed with 4 beautiful children, Patricia “Trish”, Barron, Eddie III and Lamont . Pat opened her arms to 3 Precious step children, Shirley, Andrea and Landen. Pats hobby was painting, she loved working with crafts. Her love for ceramics lead her to starting her own business, ALICES BLACK ANGELS . Pat was a lady of many talents. She was also a Certified Chef, she worked at Pig and the Pit on Market St, Huffmans BBQ in Auto Square , Seafood Broilers in Point Loma and E.F. Hutton Restaurant in LaJolla .

Pat married Charlie Robb in June of 1986. She spent many years working with Special Needs Children until she retired due to health concerns and to focus on her family commitments . Pat and Charlie Rob became foster parents and opened their home to numerous family members and neighborhood children.

Alice is preceded in death by her parents Charles Edward Thompson & Myrtle Blake, grandparents, son Barron Wilkerson, siblings Lillian (Lilly) Walker, Jimmy Thompson, Betty Stidum, twins brothers Laval (Sonny) and Lava Thompson & Michael Thompson, granddaughter Carla Jones, great grandson Jaecer Parker & great great nephew & niece Sammy Million & Betty Bateman.  

Alice leaves to mourn & to cherish her glorious & meaningful memories, Her Children, Patricia Eddie & Lamont Wilkerson, Shirley Bradford (Lonnie), Andrea & Landen Wilkerson; 22 grand, 32 great grand, 1 great great grandchild, siblings, James “ Sonny” Davis, Alma “Bonnie” Mitchell, Victoria “Pookie” Young, Gina Thompson Staton ,Willis Goodlow Sr. (Gloria) ,Hollieque Blake, Marilyn Boyd Ford (Richard), Melvin “Bubby” Blake & Jimmy Blake; with a host of Cousins, Family & Friends.
